IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

Abbott is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join its pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires. The role focuses on systems administration, level‑2 support, and participation in disaster recovery planning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide level‑2 incident handling, problem resolution, and break/fix support for hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
• Install, test, upgrade, and tune platforms, operating systems, security tools, monitoring tools, and related infrastructure software.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, qualification records, and asset tracking information.
• Participate in disaster recovery plan testing and system security implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3–4 years of IT experience with demonstrated hardware and software troubleshooting skills.

Required skills

• Level‑2 support for LAN and wireless network devices.
• Hardware maintenance and operating system administration.
• Experience with system utilities, security tools, monitoring tools, and performance tuning.
