IT / GRC External Auditor SOC 2 – LATAM

About the role

Insight Assurance is seeking a remote IT / GRC External Auditor to join its fast‑growing LATAM team. You will work on SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, HIPAA and other security and privacy framework audits, supporting both client engagements and internal initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day activities of IT audit engagements, including SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3 and HIPAA readiness assessments.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls and communicate findings to client management.
• Lead client meetings, provide weekly status reports, and proactively flag potential issues to management.
• Identify performance‑improvement opportunities and support the preparation of audit documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience performing IT audit engagements at a Big 4 or comparable audit/consulting firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, cybersecurity, or management information systems.
• Bilingual English (required) and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Experience with GRC and compliance automation tools such as Vanta, Drata, or Secureframe.
• Basic knowledge of external audit frameworks (SOC 1, SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO, PCI DSS, etc.).
• Familiarity with audit documentation and control testing methodologies.
