Instrumentation Engineer – Permanent Expat Position in Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join the Technical Support Team of a global manufacturing organization. The role is based in Saudi Arabia and includes a full expatriate relocation package.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance, support, training and expertise to plant departments.
• Monitor instrumentation system performance across downstream facilities.
• Assess performance and recommend improvements for optimisation.
• Develop and maintain lifecycle management activities for instrumentation systems.
• Establish auditing guidelines and conduct regular instrument audits.
• Lead development of new strategies and validate feasibility of productivity improvements.
• Capture manufacturing knowledge in a repository and drive continuous improvement through benchmarking and best practices.
• Deliver awareness sessions, lead technical exchanges and conferences.
• Maintain the instrumentation systems knowledge repository and act as subject‑matter expert for troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in refining, oil & gas or petrochemical plants.
• Proficiency with industry codes and standards (API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with field instrument types and applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
