Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is accountable for the guest experience related to cleanliness and visual impressions aboard Royal Caribbean ships. This role ensures premium service delivery, maintains the highest standards of hygiene, and leads a team to create memorable, seamless experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Own and oversee all aspects of cabin and public area cleanliness, ensuring compliance with brand, safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead, train, and develop housekeeping supervisors and crew, maintaining a strong floor presence and fostering a positive work environment.
• Manage inventory, chemical handling, and equipment usage while adhering to safety protocols and job‑safety analyses.
• Coordinate with other ship departments to guarantee flawless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor performance metrics, conduct regular inspections, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of progressive housekeeping managerial experience, preferably in upscale hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Experience with talent assessment, quality service standards, and crew development.
• Familiarity with human‑resources policies and practices.
