Hardware Design Engineer – Satellite Platform

About the role

Satellogic is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to join its Electronics team in Buenos Aires. You will be responsible for designing, validating, and delivering electronic hardware for Earth‑observation satellites, working closely with project managers and the Head of Electronic Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Implement aerospace hardware devices based on low‑level requirements.
• Design and document electronic hardware assemblies, PCBs and harnesses for satellite platforms.
• Collaborate with PCB manufacturers during development and prototyping.
• Develop hardware validation procedures and write test code for prototypes.
• Review PCB designs for manufacturability and space‑flight qualification.
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance performance and manufacturability.
• Monitor emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions for satellite systems.
• Contribute to the definition and improvement of team guidelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high‑tech hardware design.
• Proven experience in testing and debugging hardware devices.
• Willingness to travel, including visits to the Montevideo plant facilities.
