Forward Deployed Engineer (Full-Stack)

About the role

We are looking for a Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join Fuse Finance’s engineering team. You will design, build, and ship features across our AI‑native loan origination platform, working closely with business logic that drives real lending decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement end‑to‑end full‑stack features, including backend APIs/services and customer‑facing dashboards.
• Model and configure each client’s lending domain (loan types, underwriting rules, task flows, templates).
• Build and maintain client‑specific automations that orchestrate the loan lifecycle, integrating with credit bureaus, KYC providers, banking rails, and document services.
• Ship AI‑powered features such as LLM‑based automations, classification pipelines, and agentic workflows.
• Own features from scoping through testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration based on production signals.
• Write clean, well‑tested, observable code and contribute to shared standards on quality, reliability, and security.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably full‑stack.
• Strong proficiency with a modern backend stack (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go or similar) and experience designing REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Solid frontend experience with React (Next.js a plus), TypeScript, and modern state management.
• Comfortable working with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and writing non‑trivial queries.
• Experience deploying services to the cloud (AWS, GCP) and understanding CI/CD, observability, and basic operations.
• Fluent English communication and ability to collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team.
