Field Service Technician

About the role

Anton Paar Argentina is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to deliver on‑site support for its analytical instrument portfolio. You will ensure customers receive reliable maintenance, calibration, installation and training across all product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers via telephone and email.
• Perform on‑site troubleshooting, service, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Evaluate malfunctioning instruments, prepare repair cost estimates and perform factory calibrations (ISO 17025) when required.
• Deliver on‑site training to customers and document all activities in the CRM Service module.
• Manage personal warehouse/stock and forward sales opportunities to the sales team.
• Attend Anton Paar service trainings for relevant product lines.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Technical degree in electronics, mechanics, chemistry, physics or a related discipline.
• At least three years of experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license, passport and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting electronic schematics.
• Use of test equipment and calibration tools (ISO 17025).
• Troubleshooting and repair of analytical instruments.
• Installation and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency with a CRM service module for ticket and order logging.
