Field Service Engineer – Energy Storage (Argentina)

About the role

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and safety of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites in Argentina. You will coordinate technical teams, ensure compliance with EHS standards and optimise system performance while supporting emergency response planning.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage BESS facilities, ensuring site order and implementing safety measures.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, organising technical personnel at all levels.
• Perform safety risk assessments, enforce EHS precautions and oversee safe operation of energy‑storage equipment.
• Analyse faults, develop optimisation and rectification schemes, and monitor equipment data to improve performance.
• Participate in emergency response and exercise planning, and lead regular emergency drills.
• Investigate EHS incidents, create improvement action plans and drive their implementation.
• Coordinate with owners, service providers, grid operators and government agencies to maintain strong partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Power System, Electrical Automation, Power Engineering or High‑Voltage Technology (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of commissioning, operation and maintenance experience on energy‑storage power stations.
• Strong safety awareness and familiarity with overseas EHS requirements.
• Possession of industry‑required special operation qualification certificates.
• Fluent English for daily work; overseas work experience and project‑management background are a plus.
• Valid local work permit.
