Field Service Engineer – Customer Site Support

About the role

The Field Service Engineer provides on‑site technical support, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of equipment at customer locations in Argentina. The role ensures equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and compliance with Fortive’s safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, start‑up, calibration and commissioning of equipment and systems.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to Fortive procedures.
• Diagnose technical issues and implement solutions to minimise downtime.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support to customers.
• Prepare detailed service reports, technical documentation and maintenance records.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance during all service activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Technical Support, Sales and Operations to resolve customer issues.
• Support customer training on equipment operation, maintenance and best practices.
• Manage spare‑parts requirements and recommend service improvements.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and business growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Technical Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, technical support or equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work at customer sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with service management systems.
