About the role
Ames Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to manage large and complex construction projects on‑site, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Design temporary structures with a focus on safety.
- Inspect installed equipment, resolve issues, and direct foremen or workers.
- Conduct research, report project status, and perform quality‑control inspections.
- Verify proper materials, enforce safety protocols and PPE, and oversee project budgets and communications.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of one year experience as a field engineer or similar role.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA safety guidelines.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
Required skills
- Knowledge of construction machinery, equipment, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents and technical drawings.
