Family Practitioner / General Practitioner in Nelson

About the role

We are seeking a Family Practitioner/General Practitioner to join our well‑established clinic in Nelson, British Columbia. The position offers a flexible, innovative environment with full electronic medical records, on‑site billing, and the opportunity to provide both in‑person and virtual care, especially for patients unable to travel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including routine examinations, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment.
• Develop expertise in pain management; training will be provided for candidates without prior experience.
• Utilise the clinic’s EMR system for documentation, ordering tests, and coordinating referrals.
• Participate in virtual health consultations to extend care to remote or weather‑restricted patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient workflow and high‑quality patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Medical degree and current licence to practice in British Columbia.
• Interest in or willingness to learn pain management techniques.
• Commitment to full‑time practice in a community‑oriented setting.
