Family Physician – Shared Practice Opportunity

About the role

Ancron Medical Centre is seeking a Family Physician to join a collaborative, shared‑practice model in Nelson, British Columbia. The position blends rural family medicine with longitudinal primary care, shared inpatient duties, and a rotating Doctor‑of‑the‑Day hospital schedule. Flexible part‑time or full‑time arrangements are available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a shared patient panel.
• Participate in shared inpatient coverage at Kootenay Lake Hospital on a 12‑week rotation.
• Engage in Doctor‑of‑the‑Day duties, ensuring continuity of care across the practice.
• Offer virtual care services, including one dedicated virtual day per week.
• Optionally contribute to a functional‑medicine clinic up to twice weekly.

Required profile

• Board‑certified Family Medicine or General Practice physician.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, team‑based environment.
• Interest in flexible scheduling and shared‑practice models.
