Family Physician – Shared Practice Opportunity

About the role

We are looking for a Family Physician to join a collaborative, flexible primary‑care practice in Nelson, British Columbia. The position blends rural family medicine with longitudinal primary care, shared inpatient duties, and a rotating Doctor‑of‑the‑Day hospital schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous primary‑care services to a shared patient panel.
• Participate in shared inpatient coverage at Kootenay Lake Hospital (1–5 inpatient days per 12‑week rotation).
• Take part in the Doctor‑of‑the‑Day rotating schedule.
• Deliver virtual care, including a dedicated virtual‑care day.
• Optionally contribute to a functional‑medicine clinic up to twice weekly.

Required profile

• Physician seeking a practice‑share environment with one other doctor.
• Interest in team‑based clinic work and flexible scheduling.
• Willingness to engage in leadership or focused practice areas such as functional medicine.
• Open to part‑time (≈0.5 FTE) or full‑time (≈0.8 FTE) arrangements.
