External Audit Manager

About the role

PwC's Acceleration Center Buenos Aires is looking for an External Audit Manager within its Assurance practice. The role provides independent assessments of financial statements and internal controls, issuing an auditor's report on whether the statements are free from material misstatement. As a manager, you lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning, mentoring and coaching, while taking ownership of projects from planning and budgeting to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements to assess accuracy and compliance
• Evaluate internal controls and governance processes to identify areas for improvement
• Lead teams in audit engagements, ensuring timely completion and quality standards
• Analyze financial data to detect potential misstatements or irregularities
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business operations and reporting needs
• Develop audit plans and strategies aligned with regulatory requirements and client expectations
• Mentor junior staff and coach them on audit processes
• Use accounting and financial reporting standards to guide audit procedures
• Address complex audit issues and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders
• Promote innovative audit techniques and technologies to improve efficiency

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
• At least 4 years of experience in auditing and accounting
• US Licensed CPA or Public Accountant
• Oral and written English proficiency
