External Audit Manager

About the role

Join PwC's Acceleration Center in Buenos Aires as an External Audit Manager. You will lead independent audit engagements, providing objective assessments of financial statements and internal controls for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate internal control systems and governance processes, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Lead audit teams, overseeing planning, budgeting, execution, and timely delivery of high‑quality audit reports.
• Analyze financial data to detect material misstatements, fraud risks, or errors.
• Develop audit plans and strategies aligned with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and coach junior staff, fostering their technical growth and audit proficiency.
• Manage client relationships, address conflicts, and communicate findings effectively.

Required profile

• Proven experience in external audit, preferably within a Big‑Four or similar professional services firm.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• High integrity, accountability, and a commitment to delivering quality work.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and other audit methodologies.
• Proficiency in applying accounting and financial reporting standards during audit engagements.
