Experienced Accountant – Client Portfolio & Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Accountant to join our Buenos Aires team. The role involves managing client portfolios, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and payroll administration in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee monthly accounting closings.
• Review and approve financial statements and management reports.
• Supervise accounting and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processes and ensure compliance with labor and tax regulations.
• Review and approve tax filings with AFIP, AGIP, and ARBA.
• Manage procedures with public authorities and notary offices.
• Apply inflation adjustment procedures correctly.
• Provide accounting and tax analysis and advisory support to clients.
• Act as the main point of contact for client communications.
• Mentor and support junior and semi‑senior team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an accounting firm.
• Strong experience with monthly closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of Argentine tax regulations and compliance processes.
• Proven experience supervising and mentoring accounting teams.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Argentine tax regulations (AFIP, AGIP, ARBA).
• Experience with payroll systems such as Holistor Sueldos Web.
• Proficiency in monthly closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of inflation adjustment procedures.
