Engineering Technician – Documentation & ERP Control

About the role

The Engineering Technician is the production‑facing owner of controlled engineering documentation and ERP master data for heavy‑gauge thermoforming programs. You will ensure that SolidWorks and EPDM specifications, as well as NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings and work order packets, are accurate and reflect the latest approved releases before production work orders are issued.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and re‑release SolidWorks drawings and specifications; maintain EPDM/PDM records, manage redlines, and execute quick‑turn edits for urgent production needs.
• Create and maintain NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, work instructions and packaging instructions; ensure BOM and inventory hygiene and coordinate work‑order refreshes.
• Administer the full Engineering Change Request/Order process: review submissions, route approvals, track progress, and document closure while complying with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
• Support plant personnel during normal business hours, participate in daily production cadence, and help eliminate documentation‑driven downtime.
• Participate in Production Launch Error Proof meetings, presenting required information for stakeholder review and sign‑off.

Required profile

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with heavy‑gauge thermoforming or returnable packaging.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation streams simultaneously.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 document control and traceability standards.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate approvals and provide plant support.
