Director, Clinical Operations – Project Management Office (Hybrid)

About the role

The Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) reports to the Head of Global Data Management & Standards and leads governance of the GDMS strategic project portfolio. The role ensures initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, planned with discipline, and delivered transparently.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and maintain the PMO framework, including intake, business case development, prioritisation, planning, execution oversight and risk management.
• Govern the GDMS project book of work, prioritising and sequencing efforts across sub‑functions and managing cross‑vertical dependencies.
• Provide portfolio‑level oversight through executive dashboards, program reviews and status reporting.
• Collaborate with initiative sponsors to optimise resource use and achieve quantifiable value.
• Identify, track and report on organisational goals and KPIs, and maintain the Business Continuity Plan.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in managing a PMO or similar function.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and global data management.
• Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders across functional areas and drive strategic alignment.
• Experience delivering projects on time, within scope and budget.
