Dimensional & Joining Engineer

About the role

The Dimensional & Joining Engineer will lead and sustain the joining and dimensional processes within the Body Shop. You will ensure that the vehicle body structure is built safely, on schedule, and to specification, delivering robust welding performance and stable dimensional quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical follow‑up of welding and joining performance, monitoring process behavior and investigating defects.
• Define containment actions and coordinate corrective measures with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams.
• Track dimensional results, identify trends or shifts, conduct root‑cause analysis and validate tooling or process corrections.
• Support cross‑functional problem solving for quality issues affecting weld integrity, dimensional variation or downstream build quality.
• Evaluate and support implementation of engineering, product, tooling or process changes, ensuring safe and seamless release.
• Use plant systems and digital reports to prioritize issues by area, robot, point ID or station.
• Participate in regional meetings to share best practices and align technical standards across plants.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Electronic or related).
• 2‑3 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Advanced level of English.
• Strong ability to follow detailed technical instructions and work collaboratively.
• Analytical thinking and effective communication skills.
