Desktop Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a technically skilled Desktop Support Specialist to handle service work orders, support end‑user devices, and assist with network and data‑center infrastructure. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting, project work of moderate complexity, and collaboration with cross‑functional and remote teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for PCs, laptops, cabling, televisions, projectors, phones, peripherals, and site security equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service work orders.
• Assist with data‑center and application architecture support.
• Diagnose basic network issues and support switches, routers, and firewalls under guidance from the Nutanix Remote Resolver Team.
• Support backup, tape, and Exchange infrastructures.
• Integrate and customize hardware components on operating systems and networks.
• Document and report technical issues clearly; run workshops for information gathering.
• Participate in projects of moderate complexity and collaborate with intercompany teams.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially for reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote resolver teams.
• Familiarity with router and switch configuration under remote guidance.
