Deals Capital Markets - Experienced Associate

About the role

PwC is hiring an Experienced Associate for its Deals Capital Markets practice in the Acceleration Center Buenos Aires. The associate provides strategic guidance on technical accounting, financial reporting, transaction structures and capital markets topics, advising clients on complex accounting and financial reporting issues around deals and other transformational business events. The role focuses on learning and contributing to client engagements and projects while building technical knowledge of firm services and technology resources.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on technical accounting and financial reporting issues related to mergers, acquisitions and other transformational business events
• Advise clients on complex transaction structures and capital markets topics to maximize value in business deals
• Navigate diverse client engagements and adapt to varying challenges and scopes
• Apply a learning mindset to develop technical skills and commercial awareness
• Collaborate with team members to deliver quality work that drives client success
• Use financial modeling and accounting advisory skills to support capital markets transactions
• Engage in project coordination and management to ensure timely delivery of client solutions
• Analyze market trends and regulatory guidelines to inform strategic recommendations
• Develop and maintain client relationships to understand their needs and provide tailored advice
• Ensure responsible information management, including information security and data protection

Required profile

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 1 year of experience
• Current pursuit of or a Certified Public Accountant license
• Oral and written proficiency in English

Preferred profile

• Coursework or a concentration in valuation methods
• Other fields of study that give a solid foundation in how manufacturing and production facilities create products
• Proficiency in accounting advisory and modeling, and use of Alteryx for automation and data analysis
• Experience in capital markets transactions and debt raising, and knowledge of GAAP and IFRS conversions
• Ability to coordinate projects in a fast-paced environment, and skills in IPO preparation and regulatory reporting
