Data Engineer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

Join FullStackFullStack's talent network and work on flexible, project‑based assignments for U.S. clients as a Data Engineer. You will become an integrated member of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and developers on remote initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain large‑scale enterprise ETL pipelines and workflow automations.
• Write advanced SQL queries, manage relational databases and optimise performance.
• Handle both SQL and NoSQL database architectures, including schema evolution and tuning.
• Utilise cloud environments and data‑analysis tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Jasper Reports or Talend.
• Work with AI technologies, large language models and AI‑driven automation solutions.
• Develop solutions on unified data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Apply Apache big‑data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Flink) and Python scripting for data processing.
• Use workflow automation tools such as n8n and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software or data engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Experience with JavaScript and Node.js for backend development and automation.
• Strong background in writing complex SQL queries and managing relational databases.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database architecture, performance tuning and schema evolution.
• Proven ability to design, implement and maintain enterprise‑scale ETL processes.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and modern data‑integration tools.
