Data Engineer Microsoft Fabric

About the role

Possumus is seeking a mid‑level Data Engineer to drive strategic data and analytics initiatives on the Microsoft ecosystem. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures that enable Business Intelligence, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
• Develop and maintain Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse solutions following modern architecture principles.
• Create and manage ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2.
• Design reusable semantic models for Power BI consumption.
• Implement CI/CD practices using Azure Pipelines or Fabric deployment capabilities.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, traceability, and availability across the platform.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to prepare datasets and predictive models.
• Participate in technical estimations, architecture discussions, and pre‑sales activities.
• Support and guide teams in adopting Microsoft data technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Proven ability to design Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse architectures.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, and large‑scale SQL datasets.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and access management.
