Data Engineer Analyst

About the role

Blend is seeking a Data Engineer Analyst to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and lake architectures on AWS. You will work closely with analysts, scientists, and platform engineers to deliver reliable, high‑performance data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement batch, streaming, and CDC data ingestion pipelines using Apache Spark, PySpark, and AWS Glue.
• Develop and manage data lake structures on Amazon S3 with Apache Iceberg for schema evolution and time‑travel.
• Orchestrate ETL workflows with AWS services such as Athena, Lambda, and optionally Airflow or Step Functions.
• Ensure data security and compliance through AWS IAM policies and access controls.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot data quality issues, and continuously improve reliability and freshness.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Advanced English proficiency for effective communication with global teams.
