Counsel, Product & Commercial, South Cone

About the role

Uber is looking for a senior product and commercial lawyer to join its legal team in Santiago, Chile. The Counsel will support the Mobility and Delivery businesses across the Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay), helping shape the company’s growth in a high‑impact market.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal guidance to product and sales teams for the design, rollout and scaling of Mobility and Delivery offerings.
• Structure, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including terms and conditions and partnership contracts.
• Collaborate with operations, policy, compliance and business leaders to align legal strategies with commercial priorities.
• Anticipate and manage legal and regulatory exposure, enabling thoughtful risk‑taking that supports long‑term growth.
• Contribute to regional and global projects that influence Uber’s operations and expansion in the Southern Cone.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience at a top‑tier law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Strong background in commercial contracts, marketing and consumer law, including international and corporate matters.
• Law degree from a Chilean or Argentine university with strong academic credentials.
• Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to think quickly and thrive in high‑profile situations.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Enthusiasm for Uber’s mission and products.
