Contracts Advisor / Category Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Contracts Advisor / Category Specialist to support contracting requests for various operating companies within a leading Oil & Gas group. The role involves developing annual category and contracting plans, monitoring execution, and ensuring alignment with business and asset plans.

Key responsibilities

• Support contracting requests across operating companies and develop annual Category and Contracting Plans with cost‑improvement targets.
• Monitor plan execution throughout the contract lifecycle, manage existing agreements, and track cost savings.
• Review, analyze, redline, and prepare contracts, amendments and SOWs; negotiate with new and existing suppliers.
• Collaborate with legal counsel, business stakeholders and global category teams to drive best practices and technology improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in contracting and/or category management, including contract creation, renewal and negotiation.
• Ability to perform technical and commercial analysis to procure services under optimal conditions.
• Strong understanding of business drivers, supplier relations and portfolio rationalisation.
• Advanced English and a bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering or related fields.

Required skills

• Knowledge of contracting terminology, terms and conditions.
• Critical thinking applied to complex contracts and ability to use procurement tools and processes.
