Construction HSE Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Construction HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environment (HSE) activities on large‑scale industrial projects across Argentina and the wider South‑American region. Reporting to the MAIRE Group HSE leadership, you will ensure compliance with corporate HSE policies, local regulations and client requirements on site.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the MAIRE Group HSE Policy and Management System at the construction site.
• Conduct Job Hazardous Analyses (JHA) and participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for all activities.
• Verify and update the Site HSE Plan and related procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Inspect subcontractors’ work to ensure adherence to HSE standards, regulations and procedures.
• Organise and lead regular HSE walk‑arounds, inspections, audits and produce corrective action reports.
• Coordinate and deliver HSE training programmes for site personnel.
• Facilitate HSE meetings, liaise with clients on work permits and maintain accident records.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement preventive measures.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Proven experience managing HSE on large industrial, EPC, energy, oil & gas or petrochemical construction sites in Latin America.
• Strong knowledge of South‑American construction regulations and contractor practices.
• Ability to work in multicultural, international project teams.
