Cloud Platform Engineer Lead

About the role

The Cloud Platform Engineer Lead will partner with Pre‑Sales and client‑facing teams to translate real‑world friction points into pragmatic cloud solutions. You will design, implement and deliver features, integrations and automations across hybrid and Azure‑based environments, ensuring they are merged into product codebases within short delivery cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with client‑driven delivery partners to capture unmet requirements and define solution road‑maps.
• Design and implement infrastructure, scripting and application‑level solutions that align with EY Fabric standards.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation and best‑practice recommendations across product, engineering and operations teams.
• Review new and existing offerings, delivering feedback on design, usability and release readiness.
• Identify improvement opportunities in high‑usage offerings and contribute fixes, enhancements or automation.
• Mentor team members, translate technical scenarios for business stakeholders and help remove organisational blockers.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
• Strong documentation and structured communication capabilities.
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and codebases.
• Self‑directed, proactive and able to navigate large organisations to deliver results.

Required skills

• Azure cloud platform (preferred).
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell, Python and Bash.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Code and release management using Git, GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools.
