Cloud DevOps Engineer (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

Azumo is seeking a highly motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for next‑generation web, mobile, and IoT applications. The position is fully remote and open to candidates located in Latin America. Professional English proficiency (B2/C1) is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and manage infrastructure components supporting business services.
• Develop, configure, and deploy tools for SRE/DevOps teams.
• Create and maintain system documentation and change‑management processes.
• Ensure site availability, reliability, and serviceability; handle support escalations and incident reviews.
• Monitor availability and performance, plan capacity, and execute service recovery and emergency response.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker images, and automation scripts.
• Support developers and QA teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Deploy applications to production and non‑production environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in SRE, DevOps, or SysAdmin roles.
• Professional English communication skills (B2/C1).
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.

• Linux systems administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian) – 5+ years.
• Kubernetes – 3+ years.
• Linux containers – 3+ years.
• Helm or Kustomize – 1+ year.
• Istio or equivalent – 1+ year.
• Terraform – 2+ years.
• Bash scripting – 5+ years.
• AWS EKS, GCP GKE, or Azure AKS – 2+ years.
• GitLab Pipelines or GitHub Actions – 2+ years.
• Git – 3+ years.
• AWS, GCP, Azure cloud platforms – 2+ years.
• Python or Go – 2+ years.
• MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, DynamoDB – 2+ years.
• Security hardening for Linux, Kubernetes, Istio, containers – 2+ years.
• Datadog, AWS CloudWatch or equivalent monitoring – 2+ years.
