Cloud AI Engineer, Google Cloud

About the role

The Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team helps customers transform their businesses using Google's cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud AI Engineer, you will design and implement machine learning solutions for customer use cases using Google products such as TensorFlow, DataFlow and Vertex AI. You will work with customers to find opportunities for machine learning, travel to customer sites to deploy solutions and run workshops, and work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor and solve complex machine learning challenges for customers.
• Coach customers on practical ML challenges: feature extraction and definition, data validation, monitoring, and management of features and models.
• Work with customers, partners and Google Product teams to deliver tailored solutions into production.
• Create and deliver best-practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles and sample code.
• Travel up to 30% in region for meetings, technical reviews and onsite delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English to collaborate with other teams.
• Preferred: experience in recommendation engines, data pipelines, distributed machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
• Preferred: knowledge of data warehousing (ETL/ELT), big data environments (Hadoop, Spark), cloud computing, virtualization, multi-tenant infrastructures and storage systems.

Required skills

• Experience building machine learning solutions and working with technical customers.
• Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms and software design.
• Experience coding in Python.
