Backend Software Engineer – Member of Technical Staff

About the role

As a Member of the Technical Staff, you will build customer‑facing product capabilities across the stack, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver reliable, intuitive experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable backend APIs, services, and data flows for a multi‑tenant SaaS platform.
• Own features from concept through production, including API design, data modeling, implementation, testing, and iteration.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to deliver cohesive product features.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and improve testing, performance, security, and observability.
• Investigate production issues, participate in on‑call rotation, and implement preventive measures.
• Improve observability, alerting, and cost visibility in line with telemetry standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production web applications or SaaS products.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Strong programming experience in a backend language such as Go, Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience designing and developing APIs, backend services, and SDKs.
• Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, asynchronous processing, and scalable system trade‑offs.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
