Backend Software Engineer, DevOps

About the role

Avature is looking for a Backend Software Engineer with a strong DevOps focus to create toolchains, automate deployments, and manage the environments that run our SaaS applications. You will act as a bridge between development and IT, ensuring smooth collaboration across multiple engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the environments where Avature's applications run, including cloud and on‑premise platforms.
• Develop automation tools for environment creation, configuration, and continuous deployment.
• Interact with virtualization platforms such as AWS, KVM, LXD, and Docker.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines and configuration‑management systems.
• Promote best practices for deployments and infrastructure management across teams.

Required profile

• Strong software development background with fluency in at least one structured language (PHP, Java, or Python).
• Solid understanding of Linux operating‑system concepts and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn or existing experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Puppet, Packer, Terraform, etc.).
• Interest in AI tools and staying up‑to‑date with emerging technologies.
