Backend Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced backend Python developer with expertise in building and extending our API on Django Rest Framework. The role involves developing and maintaining new modules for consumer‑ and internal‑facing applications while coordinating with the rest of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain existing legacy or new applications.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Analyze requirements and design new functionality.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate them.
• Leverage AI tools in the workflow to maintain efficiency.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of practical experience building web applications.
• Strong proficiency with Python and Django Rest Framework.
• Excellent command of data structures and algorithms.
• Demonstrated efficient use of AI tools in development.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with testing libraries like mock and pytest.
• Fluent English communication for remote asynchronous work.
• Proficient with Git version control and Dockerized applications.
