AWS DevOps Engineer (Linux) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer (Linux) to join our talent network and work remotely with U.S. clients on project‑based assignments. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and developers to deliver reliable, secure cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and harden Linux‑based production environments, including patching, backups, and Active Directory integration.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Build, deploy, and support Java applications with Maven, Gradle, and Spring frameworks, and manage Node.js runtime deployments.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Chef.
• Automate provisioning across on‑premises and cloud infrastructures.
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments.
• Maintain artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab Pipelines).
• Monitor systems using tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace and ensure security best practices.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to large, complex systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Completed four‑year college degree.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Linux server administration.
• Proven experience with relational databases, scripting, Java and Node.js deployment, and IaC tools.
• Strong background in Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, and version control (Git).
• Ability to solve complex issues, work independently, and thrive in remote, Agile environments.
