Associate Medical Director – Psychiatry

About the role

The Medical team at IQVIA seeks an Associate Medical Director specialized in Psychiatry to act as a global and regional Medical Advisor, providing critical medical support for clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as back‑up or Regional Medical Advisor on assigned projects, reviewing protocols, IDBs and CRFs.
• Provide medical support to investigative sites, clarifying protocol issues, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and patient safety matters.
• Review and clarify adverse events, perform medical case reviews of SAEs, and support pharmacovigilance activities.
• Participate in investigator meetings, kick‑off sessions, weekly team meetings and client interactions, and be available 24/7 for urgent site issues.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution and board certification in Psychiatry.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting clinical trials as an Investigator, Sub‑Investigator, or similar role in pharma or CRO.
• Current, valid medical license in the country of residence.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain detailed documentation, and manage multiple assignments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of clinical trial processes and pharmacovigilance.
• Proficiency in reviewing adverse event coding and clinical study reports.
