Associate Medical Director (Nephrology)

About the role

The Associate Medical Director – Nephrology will provide medical, clinical and scientific advisory expertise across IQVIA divisions, supporting trial delivery and business development activities. This home‑based position serves as a global and regional medical advisor for assigned projects.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Global/Regional Medical Advisor and Scientific Advisor, guiding project leaders on medical and scientific aspects of trials.
• Provide medical support to investigative sites, including protocol clarifications, eligibility determinations, and patient safety issues.
• Review protocols, Investigational Drug Brochures and Case Report Forms, and assess adverse events.
• Develop medically sound delivery strategies for multi‑region studies and contribute to client proposals, including budgeting for medical monitoring.
• Participate in business development presentations and stay current with industry developments, potentially authoring publications.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited, internationally recognized school.
• Certification in Nephrology (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of relevant clinical experience, including prior clinical research as an investigator or in pharma/CRO/biotech.
• Strong knowledge of federal and local regulations governing clinical research.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in English.
