Associate Counsel - Vendor Contracts

About the role

Syneos Health, a fully integrated life sciences services organization, is hiring an Associate Counsel for vendor contracts in Buenos Aires, working in a hybrid setting. The role covers end-to-end contracting for clinical, commercial and corporate vendor contracts for products and services, including service agreements, licensing, SaaS, HR and staffing agreements, strategic alliances and data privacy agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and negotiate sophisticated service agreements, licensing, SaaS, HR and staffing agreements, strategic alliances and data privacy agreements, as well as escalated issues from business units and internal departments.
• Assist in negotiations with the vendor's legal team.
• Respond to and advise business teams on legal requests and inquiries, draft legal documents and advise on contractual matters and risk mitigation.
• Interface with Procurement, Data Privacy and Sourcing as needed to support contracting matters.
• Work with colleagues across the Legal department, including the global team of regional attorneys, to coordinate and complete global contracts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to the company's business.

Required profile

• J.D., LLM, LLB or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Fully qualified lawyer.
• Law firm or in-house experience is a bonus.
• Ability to work semi-independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams.

• Able to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines and a high volume of contracts.
