Assistant Store Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring the store meets its sales, merchandising, and customer service goals. This full‑time, onsite position requires a hands‑on leader who can step in for the Store Manager and drive store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets, inventory, and financial information.
• Develop and execute action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume full store responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate store personnel.
• Provide product knowledge and guidance to employees and customers.
• Monitor sales statistics, expenses, and inventory movement to ensure profitability.
• Maintain high standards of customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
• Uphold all company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Required profile

• Experience in retail operations or a similar customer‑facing environment.
• Ability to supervise staff, conduct interviews, and resolve workplace issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including peak periods.
