Application Support Engineer

About the role

Allata is seeking a hands‑on Application Support Engineer to own and support multiple custom business applications. The role blends production support with practical software engineering, focusing on issue resolution, bug fixes, and minor enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of several applications, learning their architecture, integrations, and business purpose.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues using logs, monitoring tools, code, and database queries.
• Develop, test, and deploy bug fixes and minor enhancements following engineering and change‑management practices.
• Prioritize issues by business impact, communicate progress, and escalate when needed.
• Investigate recurring incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive improvements.

Required profile

• Strong ownership, prioritization, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot systematically across application code, databases, integrations, and cloud services.
• Experience supporting applications hosted in a major cloud platform such as Azure or AWS.

Required skills

• C#/.NET development (ASP.NET Core is a plus).
• REST APIs, SQL, Git, and CI/CD practices.
• Use of AI‑assisted engineering tools with sound judgment on output quality, testing, security, and data privacy.
