Analyst, Financial Accounting

About the role

Support accurate financial reporting and accounting compliance for Newmont Argentina by handling day‑to‑day accounting activities, reconciliations, reporting, and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounting, including revenue, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll, intercompany transactions, and royalties.
• Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations and assist with treasury and cash accounting.
• Support monthly and year‑end close activities and prepare financial reports in line with IFRS and local standards.
• Assist internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Collaborate across functions to improve processes and uphold strong financial practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience in financial accounting, reporting, account reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards; exposure to US GAAP is a plus.
• Understanding of audit processes and internal controls.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• SAP accounting system.
• Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Office suite.
