AI Operations Engineer

About the role

Sauce, a leading restaurant‑technology platform, is seeking an AI Operations Engineer to build and maintain AI‑powered tools that support its fast‑moving operations team. You will work directly with business stakeholders, turning feedback into production code within hours and delivering multiple releases each day.

Key responsibilities

• Develop internal tools and automation workflows for operations using Cursor.ai and n8n.
• Fix bugs and ship features in rapid 3‑4 daily production releases.
• Design, deploy, and maintain AI agents that automate repetitive operational tasks end‑to‑end.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and internal systems without extensive hand‑holding.
• Own QA processes, testing releases against real business logic before deployment.
• Communicate directly with ops users, translating vague feedback into precise technical solutions.

Required profile

• Strong architectural mindset combined with the ability to ship quickly.
• Comfortable working directly with non‑technical stakeholders without a product‑manager buffer.
• Highly responsive, especially during production incidents.
• Based in LATAM with full overlap of US business hours (EST/PST).
• Proven experience building tools that real teams use daily.

Required skills

• Cursor.ai (expert level).
• n8n or similar agentic workflow platforms.
• OpenAI / LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tool use.
• Full‑stack development: Node.js and React (or equivalent).
• PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
• REST API design and third‑party integrations.
• Cloud deployment on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong security awareness and clean architecture practices.
