Vermilion Engineer – Buenos Aires

About the role

We are looking for a Vermilion Engineer to join our Buenos Aires team and lead the implementation and customization of the Vermilion Reporting Suite for investment reporting. The role combines platform configuration, data integration and workflow automation within a fast‑moving asset‑management environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, configure and tailor the Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) to meet client‑specific investment reporting requirements.
• Design and maintain data interfaces between VRS and external systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, Markit EDM, Aladdin and various APIs (XML/JSON).
• Build, test and support automated reporting workflows and batch processing pipelines.
• Create high‑quality, branded reports and templates in PDF, MS Office and HTML for multiple asset classes.
• Conduct system testing, data validation and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and platform performance.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience delivering enterprise software solutions in financial services or asset management.
• Strong project‑management and stakeholder‑communication abilities.
• Deep understanding of performance measurement, client reporting and portfolio data across fixed income, equity and derivatives.

Required skills

• SQL expertise (MS SQL, Oracle) and database debugging.
• ETL process design and implementation.
• Vermilion Reporting Suite modules, APIs and report design.
• API integration using XML and JSON.
• Power BI for data visualisation.
