Accounting Specialist – Client Housing Reservations

About the role

The Accounting Specialist ensures accurate financial management of client housing reservations, handling everything from lease verification to invoicing. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and reconcile new unit documentation, comparing client leases, property leases, and quote sheets for accuracy.
• Establish new units, execute property leases, and process initial payments in the appropriate currency.
• Set up reservations in Sage Intacct, creating client invoices, vendor bills, referral fees, rent payments, security deposits, pet fees, and upgrade charges.
• Generate and issue initial client invoices promptly after reservation setup.
• Monitor profit & loss reports by reservation, ensuring all receivable and payable transactions are recorded accurately.
• Maintain and update reservation records for extensions, terminations, upgrades, rate changes, and other adjustments.
• Utilize Sage Intacct reporting tools to track profitability, reconcile accounts, and produce financial reports.
• Prepare and deliver ad‑hoc client financial and operational reports on schedule.
• Identify and support process improvements, efficiency gains, and stronger financial controls.
