Accountant – Global Accounts Payable (Mid‑Level)

About the role

Join EPAM's Argentina‑based Global Shared Services team as a Mid‑Level Accountant focused on Accounts Payable. You will handle US GAAP bookkeeping, process domestic and international payments, and support month‑end close activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assess expenditure supporting documents and verify accounting attributes.
• Process domestic and international wire transfers and run batch or individual bank payments.
• Execute US GAAP bookkeeping for expenditures and record AP and bank payment entries.
• Complete month‑end close for assigned SAP accounts following established procedures.
• Engage with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues.
• Provide explanations and supporting documentation for audit and stakeholder requests.
• Address internal and external inquiries, participate in meetings, and supply audit support.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives with the IT development team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance standards.
• Proactive ownership of assigned work and ability to follow internal controls.
• Team player in multicultural environments.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (spoken and written).
