Accountant – Accounts Payable (Argentina)

About the role

EPAM is looking for an Accountant to join its global shared‑service Accounts Payable team in Argentina. You will play a key part in processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting month‑end close activities while ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Validate expenditure documentation and ensure accounting accuracy.
• Execute domestic and international vendor payments, including wires, batch, and individual transactions.
• Record company expenses, accounts payable, and banking activities in line with US GAAP.
• Perform monthly account closing tasks in SAP following internal procedures.
• Collaborate with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues.
• Provide explanations and supporting documents to senior accountants for assigned entities.
• Respond to internal and external stakeholder requests, attend meetings, and prepare audit documentation.
• Participate in process‑improvement projects with the IT team, identify optimisation opportunities, and assist in testing new processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Motivation for continuous self‑improvement and skill development.
• Collaborative team player with experience in multicultural environments.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Practical experience using SAP for accounting tasks.
