Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Jetpacks! is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer focused on observability to join its Latin America team. You will design and implement end‑to‑end telemetry solutions, build pipelines for metrics, traces and logs, and ensure platform reliability across AWS, GCP and Azure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement OpenTelemetry solutions across diverse technology stacks, including SDKs, APIs, and Collector configurations.
• Configure and deploy OpenTelemetry Collectors for efficient data collection, processing, sampling, and routing in microservices architectures.
• Build and optimise telemetry pipelines for metrics, traces and logs, balancing performance, reliability and cost.
• Integrate observability infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi and CloudFormation.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters with full monitoring and logging capabilities.
• Create CI/CD pipelines that embed observability, automated testing and agent evaluation.
• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, error budgets and toil‑reduction strategies.
• Support incident response, on‑call rotations and post‑mortem processes to continuously improve reliability.
• Deploy observability platforms across AWS, GCP and Azure, ensuring security, compliance and governance.
• Collaborate with client teams, translating technical concepts into actionable guidance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in observability, monitoring and distributed systems.
• Proven DevOps/SRE background with a focus on site reliability, incident response and observability.
• Deep hands‑on experience with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem (Collectors, processors, exporters, receivers).
• Strong understanding of telemetry data models, semantic conventions and instrumentation best practices.
