Senior Go Backend Engineer – Cloud & Media Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep Go expertise and extensive experience on Google Cloud Platform to design and scale high‑performance microservices for live event management, media processing and hybrid edge‑caching solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production‑grade Go microservices using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, grpc‑gateway and REST APIs.
• Build event‑driven backend services for live‑event lifecycle, media ingestion, inspection, asset export and distribution.
• Integrate hybrid caching architectures with on‑premise systems and Google Cloud Storage.
• Own features end‑to‑end from API design to deployment, monitoring and operational support.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Kubernetes (GKE), Helm, Terraform, Istio and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience, including 3+ years building production applications in Go.
• Strong knowledge of Go concurrency, context, error handling and graceful shutdown.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud services such as GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Workflows, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL and IAM.
• Experience deploying and operating containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Advanced English communication skills and ability to work within Central Time business hours.
