Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

About the role

GlobalLogic is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise to own the infrastructure and delivery pipelines of a PCI‑regulated, high‑availability payments platform. You will work closely with US‑based client stakeholders to ensure reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure across multi‑account environments (dev, QA, staging, production) using Infrastructure as Code.
• Own end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, implementing build, test gating, artifact management, blue/green and canary releases, and automated rollback.
• Containerise services on ECS/EKS, manage scaling policies, service mesh configuration, and perform zero‑downtime cluster upgrades.
• Implement observability (metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, alerting, SLOs) to detect issues before merchants are impacted.
• Harden the platform for PCI‑DSS compliance through network segmentation, secrets management, key rotation, least‑privilege IAM, and encryption.
• Contribute to business continuity and disaster‑recovery planning, including backup strategy, RTO/RPO validation, and recovery drills.
• Drive FinOps initiatives: right‑sizing, savings plans, storage lifecycle policies, and cost visibility per stream.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with AWS services (VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, IAM, CloudFront, Route 53, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation.
• Strong background in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience containerising applications with Docker and orchestrating with Kubernetes/EKS or ECS.
• Automation scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Solid monitoring and observability experience (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
• Linux administration, networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, load balancing, firewalls), and Git‑based workflows.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to work directly with US client stakeholders.
