About the role

Our client, a pioneering biomaterials company creating sustainable leather alternatives, is looking for a Sales Development Representative to drive new business with fashion, footwear, automotive and other brand partners. The role focuses on front‑line sales activities, relationship building and converting leads into opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop sales opportunities with brands in fashion, footwear and accessories.
  • Handle inbound inquiries and conduct proactive outbound outreach to prospective partners.
  • Lead customer meetings throughout the sales pipeline, from initial contact to commercial follow‑up.
  • Present the company’s materials, capabilities and value proposition to prospects.
  • Collaborate with product development, design and sustainability teams of target brands.
  • Maintain regular communication with prospects to advance opportunities.
  • Work with the Chief Growth Officer to prioritize leads and refine outreach strategies.
  • Coordinate sample and material hand‑offs with the Sales Coordinator.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows and networking sessions to generate leads.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, market trends and product requests.
  • Track sales activity and update the CRM as needed.

Required profile

  • 3–7 years of B2B sales, business development or brand partnership experience.
  • Proven ability to generate and close new business opportunities.
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated, comfortable in an entrepreneurial startup environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales conversations simultaneously.
  • Passion for sustainability, material innovation and emerging manufacturing technologies.
  • English proficiency at C2 level.

Required skills

  • Experience with CRM software; Hubspot is a plus.
