Sales Development Representative – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) you will support Newsela’s aggressive growth across Latin America by researching, prospecting, and qualifying leads for the sales team. You will handle inbound inquiries, conduct cold outreach, and deliver online product demos that move prospects toward qualified opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales organization to refine strategy and improve performance.
• Serve as the first point of contact for prospects, representing Newsela’s education solutions.
• Conduct high‑volume outbound prospecting via personalized email cadences and daily phone outreach to school administrators and instructional coaches.
• Partner with a dedicated Account Executive to align territory strategy and book introductory meetings.
• Share insights and feedback from the market to influence product enhancements.
• Review calls and outreach tactics with the SDR team to continuously improve scripts and messaging.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of lead generation or inside‑sales experience, preferably in K‑12 EdTech.
• Proven ability to engage prospects through email and phone and generate qualified meetings.
• Strong research skills to become a territory expert across multiple Latin American states.
• Excellent time‑management, organization, and a proactive work ethic.
